godotiq — Claude Code MCP server: Godot 4 project analysis
An MCP server for Godot 4 that hands your agent tools for reading scenes, code and node links. Useful when you inherit a project or want to know what a change touches.
claude mcp add godotiq -e GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT=<GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT> -- uvx godotiqWhat godotiq does
godotiq plugs into an AI client as an MCP server and exposes tooling for a Godot 4 project. The advertised set is 38 tools covering code analysis, spatial data from scenes, and tracing of signals and flows. The heavier analysis — dependency graphs, impact checks, scene and spatial mapping — ships as a Pro bundle. In community mode each Pro tool still shows a preview, so you can judge the upgrade before paying.
Nothing is installed by hand: point your client at uvx and it pulls the package on first use. The MCP config needs GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT set to your Godot project path. Pro users add GODOTIQ_LICENSE_KEY to the same env block. The in-editor addon is a separate step: uvx godotiq install-addon /path/to/your/godot/project.
Pro unlocks through a signed receipt, so once activated there is no network traffic on the hot path. Leave GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT out and the server has no project to read — check that line first when nothing responds.
What it helps with
- map out an unfamiliar Godot 4 project
- trace where a node's signal ends up
- see what breaks when a scene changes
- find dependencies between scripts and resources
- give the agent spatial data about a scene
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me the dependency graph for
Main.tscn - Which nodes depend on
player.gd? - Trace the
body_enteredsignal through this project
How to install godotiq
Platform CLI
claude mcp add godotiq -e GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT=<GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT> -- uvx godotiqReplace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from godotiq <command>

Run claude mcp add godotiq -e GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT=<GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT> -- uvx godotiq. The alternative is claude mcp add --env GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT=<GODOTIQ_PROJECT_ROOT> --transport stdio godotiq -- uvx godotiq. Replace the placeholder with your Godot project path.
What does godotiq do?
