What Glean Remote MCP Server does

The server gives AI assistants access to company documents, wikis, and knowledge bases in Glean. Ask in natural language to look up internal information or find people by their expertise and place in the organization. Existing access permissions apply to retrieved data.

Communication uses HTTP, and sign-in relies on OAuth 2.0 with SSO support. You’ll need your organization’s MCP server URL and authentication configured before connecting. Without that URL, the client has no server address to use.

It works with MCP-compatible clients, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, and Zed. The tools available to an assistant depend on your organization’s server setup.
