Taskade MCP — Claude Code MCP server: setup
Connects Taskade workspaces to an AI client through MCP. Use it to manage projects, tasks, reports, and app backups from an agent.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp-server https://www.taskade.com/mcpWhat Taskade MCP does
Taskade MCP connects Claude Code to a Taskade workspace through the hosted server at https://www.taskade.com/mcp. It uses Streamable HTTP and OAuth, so the client opens a Taskade sign-in flow and asks you to approve access.
The server can import a spreadsheet into a project, check changes in a Taskade Genesis app, report on projects and automations, back up an app to a folder, and plan a new app. The repository also includes the local stdio package @taskade/mcp-server and an agent plugin with skills for supported clients.
MCP access is included with paid Taskade plans from Starter upward. On the Free plan, list_spaces returns no workspaces, so that limit affects the setup choice.
What it helps with
- import a spreadsheet into a Taskade project
- check changes in a Genesis app
- generate a project and automation report
- back up an app to a folder
- plan a new app
Example prompts for the agent
- Import
budget.xlsxinto a new Taskade project and check the result. - Report on my Taskade projects and automations.
- Back up the Taskade app to the
backupfolder.
