genpark-jitter-buffer — Claude Code MCP server
Simulates packet reordering and tracks inter-arrival jitter telemetry. It helps test playback buffer logic without streaming actual media data.
Open on GitHubWhat genpark-jitter-buffer does
The server handles packet metadata instead of real audio streams. It does not provide WebRTC networking or sound codecs. When packets drop, the engine emits marker records rather than generated audio. The caller decides the playout schedule, so target_delay_ms acts purely as diagnostic telemetry.
Sequence numbers must grow monotonically without RTP rollover. Without converting timestamps to milliseconds beforehand, the simulation produces incorrect numbers. Available tools are ingest_packet, extract_playout_frame, get_jitter_telemetry, and run_benchmark_jitter_simulation.
The process communicates over stdio. It runs on Python 3.9 or newer. The library has zero third-party dependencies at runtime.
What it helps with
- simulate network packet reordering and delays
- collect inter-arrival jitter statistics
- track dropped packets without decoding audio
- test playback buffer logic using synthetic packet data
Example prompts for the agent
- Execute the jitter benchmark using
run_benchmark_jitter_simulation. - Feed packet metadata to
ingest_packetand fetch metrics withget_jitter_telemetry. - Inspect the next playback frame marker using
extract_playout_frame.

Questions about genpark-jitter-buffer
How to install genpark-jitter-buffer in Claude Code?
Install the wheel with `python -m pip install https://github.com/Alpha-Park/genpark-audio-packet-jitter-resilience-buffer-skill/releases/download/v1.0.1/genpark_jitter_buffer-1.0.1-py3-none-any.whl. Then add genpark-jitter-buffer to the mcpServers` section of your configuration.
What does genpark-jitter-buffer do?
The server models packet arrival order and gathers jitter statistics using millisecond timestamps. It processes metadata records and never outputs real audio.
What dependencies are needed to run the server?
It requires Python 3.9 or newer. The runtime does not depend on external packages.
