What flightclaw does

Flightclaw connects your coding assistant to flight search and reservation systems. You can connect to the hosted endpoint over HTTP with email OAuth or run a self-hosted Python server querying Google Flights via the fli package. Filtering works across specific carriers, duration caps, and cabin classes.

The hosted setup manages passenger details, tracks reward points, and handles reservations. The agent never sees card details. Instead, it generates a checkout_url for direct payment or requests an exact budget match through a Link virtual card.

The local script needs no account. It records route price logs locally in data/tracked.json. Running the self-hosted mode requires flights==0.9.0, fastmcp, and pydantic-settings.

What it helps with

  • find lowest fares across calendar ranges for a destination
  • monitor fare changes on a specific route with target price alerts
  • store companion traveler details for multi-city group bookings
  • inspect order details or calculate cancellation refunds

Example prompts for the agent

  • Search business class options from LHR to JFK departing on 2025-08-01
  • Find the cheapest departure days to fly from London to New York in July
  • Track flights from LHR to SFO for July with a price cap of $400
