Deepsky Aviation Regulations — Claude Code MCP server for aviation rules
A remote MCP server that searches CASA, FAA, EASA and ICAO regulations for free. No API key, no signup.
claude mcp add --transport http aviation-regulations https://www.deepskyai.com/api/mcpWhat Deepsky Aviation Regulations does
The server exposes one tool to your agent: search_aviation_regulations. It answers with ranked verbatim passages from regulatory texts, each carrying a section citation. For rule lookups that beats a general web search, because the agent gets the actual wording and the paragraph number instead of a summary of some page.
Connection is streamable HTTP at https://www.deepskyai.com/api/mcp. There is no auth step and nothing to sign up for. Claude takes a single command; Cursor and GitHub Copilot want the same URL declared as an HTTP server in their config.
Skip MCP entirely and the search still works over plain HTTP: GET https://www.deepskyai.com/api/v1/search?query=.... Coverage is CASA, FAA 14 CFR, EASA and ICAO. Ask about another jurisdiction or an internal company manual and you get nothing back.
What it helps with
- pull the exact wording of an FAA 14 CFR paragraph
- check an EASA requirement against its cited section
- feed an ICAO rule into an agent answer
- look up what CASA says on a specific point
- get a regulation quote instead of a web-search paraphrase
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the FAA 14 CFR requirement for minimum obstacle clearance altitude
- Which EASA sections cover the minimum equipment list?
- Quote the ICAO wording on fuel reserves and give me the section reference
