What BumbleBox does

BumbleBox is a remote MCP server that gives an assistant access to your mailboxes: Gmail, Outlook, any IMAP. It can search and read messages, list contacts, folders and calendar events, and prepare drafts of replies and campaigns. The server lives at https://api.bumblebox.ai/api/mcp and speaks streamable HTTP.

Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE. You confirm access once on bumblebox.ai and can see which permissions the assistant receives. A Pro or Business plan is required.

Sending is gated. A message leaves only after you click Send or Schedule, or under a standing permission you define yourself in BumbleBox for a narrow scope. An assistant cannot alter that permission. Deletion is never permanent: trash_email sends only obvious junk to the Trash and turns everything else into a one-tap proposal inside BumbleBox, while restore_to_inbox brings a message back. Claude users also get a plugin with the /bumblebox:to-answer and /bumblebox:tidy commands.

What it helps with

  • triage incoming mail across several accounts
  • find a message across every connected mailbox
  • prepare a reply draft without sending it by accident
  • put together a campaign draft from your contacts
  • clear junk out of the inbox without losing real mail

Example prompts for the agent

  • Search my mail for messages from this client over the past week and show which ones I haven't answered
  • Draft a reply to the latest message in my inbox
  • Create a campaign draft for the contacts in my Clients folder

What does BumbleBox do?

It lets an assistant work with your connected mailboxes: search and read messages, browse contacts, folders and calendar, and prepare reply or campaign drafts. Sending happens only with your approval.

Can the assistant send email on its own?

No. A message goes out after you click Send or Schedule, or within a permission you set in BumbleBox for a narrow scope. The assistant cannot change that permission.
