Bestax — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
An MCP server that gives agents access to the bestax-bulma React component library: props, code examples, Bulma v1 CSS variables and ready-made prompts.
claude mcp add --env BESTAX_MCP_NO_VERSION_CHECK=<BESTAX_MCP_NO_VERSION_CHECK> --env BESTAX_MCP_PROJECT_DIR=<BESTAX_MCP_PROJECT_DIR> --transport stdio bestax-mcp -- npx -y bestax-mcpWhat Bestax does
The server exposes the entire documentation for @allxsmith/bestax-bulma — React wrappers for Bulma v1. It includes around nine hundred working TypeScript examples, prop tables for every component (including compound parts like Navbar.Brand), helper props for spacing and colour, --bulma-* CSS variables, and seven Agent Skills — instructions for common tasks (forms, theming, migration).
The index is bundled into the package and works offline. The server checks the version of the library installed in your project and warns you if it does not match the one it documents — so it never describes props you do not have. If the library is not found in the project at all, the first answer will say so.
Tools list_components, get_component, get_examples, get_css_variables and lookup_bulma_classes cover the full lifecycle of working with components. Prompts mirror the skill names: custom-component, form, theming, layout-scaffold, icons, migrate, optimize.
