Arbitron — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Supplies perpetual crypto futures data to your assistant, covering funding rates, venue spreads, and listing events.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://arbitron.app/mcpWhat Arbitron does
Arbitron operates as an HTTP endpoint delivering read-only market statistics for crypto perpetual contracts. It connects AI assistants to tracked exchanges, surfacing active funding rates, venue price discrepancies, and new listing schedules.
The server provides nine distinct tools. Models can look up ticker symbols with arbitron_search_coins, fetch current or historical rates via arbitron_get_funding_rates and arbitron_get_funding_history, or evaluate venue spreads and backtests with arbitron_get_spreads and arbitron_get_spread_backtest.
The free Demo tier lags by 15 minutes, caps output at 50 records per page, and cuts off historical queries. Live calculations and historical lookups require a paid API key.
What it helps with
- scan perpetual futures across crypto venues for negative funding rates
- compare cross-exchange spreads on liquid trading pairs
- inspect historical funding settlement records for specific coins
- track token listing schedules on supported platforms
Example prompts for the agent
- Find liquid crypto contracts with negative funding rates using Arbitron
- Show current venue spreads for ETH using arbitron_get_spreads
- Check the listing calendar for upcoming exchange additions
