What Appcircle MCP does

This server connects your development assistant to Appcircle mobile CI/CD workflows. It supplies tools for inspecting build profiles, signing configurations, test distribution, and pipeline run analytics.

You can connect directly to the hosted endpoint at https://mcp.appcircle.io or run it locally using Python or Docker. Setting APPCIRCLE_ACCESS_TOKEN is mandatory when running as a local subprocess over stdio.

To keep operations strictly read-only, set AC_MCP_ENABLE_WRITE_TOOLS=false in your environment. This prevents tools like trigger_build from registering. Specific modules can also be filtered out using APPCIRCLE_EXCLUDED_TOOLSETS.

What it helps with

  • inspect mobile build profiles and pipeline run statuses
  • audit signing identities and bundle configuration issues
  • retrieve summaries of CI stability and failure rates
  • review test build distribution across deployment channels

Example prompts for the agent

  • Check the status of the latest iOS build on Appcircle
  • Summarize recent pipeline failures and signing identity issues
  • List test distribution profiles for our Android application
