AlgoVesta MCP Trading — Claude Code MCP server: setup guide
Connects your AI client to MetaTrader 5 and 16 crypto venues over a single MCP endpoint. It runs safety rules on the server and starts new keys with a $5,000 paper balance.
claude mcp add --transport http trading https://api.algovesta.com/mcpWhat AlgoVesta MCP Trading does
AlgoVesta hosts a remote Model Context Protocol endpoint communicating over Streamable HTTP. An AI assistant uses this connection to inspect account balances and place trade orders across supported venues. The service exposes 20 tools divided into 13 read operations, 3 state modifications, and 4 destructive actions.
Safety checks happen outside the language model. Risk limits compile into JSON rules that the hosted infrastructure evaluates deterministically before touching any exchange. Every completed execution produces a hash-chained receipt verified with an ed25519 signature.
The backend is hosted and closed-source. Running your own instance locally is not an option. You connect directly via OAuth 2.1 with PKCE or using a secret URL token. Live execution remains locked until you complete two-factor authentication in the control panel.
What it helps with
- retrieve balances across several crypto exchanges in one query
- place and adjust stop-loss or take-profit orders via AI prompts
- test trading strategies using a default 5000 USD virtual balance
- enforce trade risk limits deterministically before execution
Example prompts for the agent
- Show my current balance on the paper trading account.
- Update the stop-loss order on my active ETH/USDT position.
- List open orders and display the ed25519 signed receipt for the last action.
