AlfaNest Relay — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Remote MCP server that connects coding agents to a shared event and locking bus. Useful for orchestrating multiple agents while local code files stay on disk.
claude mcp add --transport http relay https://relay.alfanestlabs.com/mcpWhat AlfaNest Relay does
The service runs as a remote Streamable HTTP server via https://relay.alfanestlabs.com/mcp. When connected, your IDE handles OAuth verification in the browser, keeping tokens entirely outside the repository tree.
It supplies six tools for managing agent state: get_state, acquire_lock, release_lock, heartbeat, pull_events, and reject_patch. These endpoints handle agent coordination and patch rejection. Code publishing and file patching are left to the local sidecar rather than this package.
Access requires an active Hosted tier subscription on an AlfaNest Relay workspace, priced at €19 per month. One subscription covers the whole team. Without this paid plan, the endpoint will not authenticate.
What it helps with
- synchronize multiple agents using shared locks
- fetch workspace updates with
pull_eventsandget_state - turn down unwanted code modifications via
reject_patch - authenticate agent tooling securely without storing tokens in git
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the current workspace state using
get_state. - Acquire a lock with
acquire_lockbefore starting the task. - Poll incoming messages via
pull_eventsand reject invalid diffs withreject_patch.
