surety-bonds — Claude Code MCP server: US surety bond lookup
Connects your assistant to a US surety bond encyclopedia: keyword search, full bond entries, state and jurisdiction lists.
claude mcp add --transport http surety-bonds https://americassuretybonds.com/mcpWhat surety-bonds does
The server speaks Streamable HTTP at https://americassuretybonds.com/mcp. No API key, no account, read-only access.
Four tools are exposed. search_bonds takes a keyword and an optional state filter, returning the bond name, state, jurisdiction and a link to its page. get_bond pulls the whole entry for one bond: summary, detailed description, application steps, eligibility rules, FAQs, the government agency that requires it and the instant-price application link. list_states shows each state with its bond count, while list_jurisdictions breaks one state down by jurisdiction.
The catalog comes from the AmericasSuretyBonds.com encyclopedia and holds more than 6,900 records. Per-IP rate limits apply, so bulk scraping will hit a wall. The license is proprietary, though assistants and their users can query it for free.
What it helps with
- find which bond a license requires in a given state
- read eligibility rules and application steps for one bond
- compare bond requirements across jurisdictions
- get the link to the agency that mandates the bond
- check how many bonds a state has before narrowing down
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the notary bond requirements in Florida and give me the application link
- List the jurisdictions in California with their bond counts
