What AI Wave does

AI Wave pulls model changes into one stream: releases, price shifts, API edits and deprecations. Entries are deduplicated per model, and each one is tagged as official or awaiting review. It answers a different question than the OpenRouter catalog does — not what to pick, but whether what you already use has moved.

Three tools ship with it. list_model_changes reports what happened since your last check: pass since, then feed back latest on the next call. get_model returns price, context size and catalog status for a single model, keyed by its OpenRouter or Hugging Face id. search_models finds candidates for a given budget and context, ordered by current attention.

You need a key, issued at https://aiwave.elopstudio.com/member and stored in AIWAVE_API_KEY. The free tier allows 1,000 calls a day, and the remaining count arrives in the x-ratelimit-remaining header. If your client speaks remote MCP, take the HTTP route: no local package, and new tools show up without an update.

What it helps with

  • see what changed in models since the last check
  • catch a price increase or a deprecation early
  • compare price and context size for one model
  • find models that fit a budget and context window
  • tell an official announcement from one under review

Example prompts for the agent

  • Use list_model_changes to show what shifted since last week
  • Give me the price and context for this OpenRouter model id
  • Find models for my budget and context, sorted by attention
