Didn't receive bonus spins and tried to raise an issue and was put through to an automated bot.

Responsible Gambling Complaint (no substantive response since February 2026)I avoided writing here because I wanted to resolve this with Betway directly. However, I have not had a substantive response from them since February 2026.Between July and September 2025 I lost a five-figure sum on the site. During this time there was no appropriate intervention from Betway despite clear signs of gambling harm. This includes repeated back-to-back deposits of £1,000 and the loss of five figures in just 3 days. I contacted Betway and asked for an investigation into the matter and a refund. They asked for medical evidence, as it was anxiety related, which I submitted in full on 28 July 2026.Since then, all I have received is the same automated template email from a UK manager stating my complaint is being investigated. Any time I follow up, I receive the same generated email with no personal or substantive update. On 18 August I was told I would receive a response, and instead I was told more time was needed via the same template email. I have been in touch with live chat on multiple occasions and I’m just being told it’s been escalated. This is not only incredibly frustrating, but I'm also concerned about my sensitive data being held with no follow-up from the responsible gambling team.It’s now 1 October 2026. Over 1 year since the chain of events occurred and 9 weeks since I submitted my medical evidence at the request of Betway. And 8 months since I’ve actually had an email from an actual person from Betway. I would like to be contacted as soon as possible with a proper update on my case. As this is now unacceptable. I will await a response.

⭐ 1 STAR — TAKING BACK MY PREVIOUS GOOD REVIEWI only left a 5 - star review the other day because up until then I’d had no issues with Betway — withdrawals were always paid out and everything seemed fine. But over the last few days I’ve had some significant wins, and when I logged on this morning they’ve gone and restricted my account for three months.I can only assume this is purely because I’ve made multiple big wins from quite low deposits. It’s incredibly disappointing. So If you’re looking for a reputable company that doesn’t penalise you for winning — do not use Betway. I have gambled a bit more the last couple of days because of these wins, but I haven’t been at a loss at all. It just feels like some of these companies simply don’t like you winning, so the moment you do they restrict you & penalise you for winning large amounts.I take back everything I said the other day I really did think this was a good casino. But to be treated this way as a loyal player who’s recommended the site to others… I feel I have to remove those stars and give my honest experience now.BetVictor is the one to go to instead — they’re genuinely excellent. Their customer service is lovely, they’ll even call you to check you’re gambling comfortably and not overspending, and they pay out instantly — as soon as you withdraw, the money is there straight away. They’re a proper, genuine site. They don’t penalise & restrict your account if you win big ! So I’ll be sticking with them from now on. Removed the 5 star review I posted below.

Great site felt I owe them a review — this is my go-to site now!I joined Betway earlier this year and it’s a Really easy site to navigate, straightforward to deposit, and the customer service is friendly too. I honestly don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews — I’ve had nothing but good experiences here.Literally today I’ve made multiple large withdrawals and they’ve all been paid quickly. I’m just waiting for the biggest one to land now and I’ll update as soon as that’s through, but so far no issues at all. I’ve had multiple wins today mounting up to over £10,000 across three withdrawals and they’ve all been processed the same day. Not always instant, but still pretty fast. Had other payouts in the past again no issues. It’s a really nice site to use and it’s definitely my go-to from now on. Well done Betway — keep it up!

Title: An exhausting masterclass in how NOT to handle a £10 refundI have rarely dealt with a company that can turn something as simple as returning a £10 unused deposit into such a ridiculous ordeal.Betway repeatedly referred to the wrong account, sent generic automated replies instead of answering straightforward questions, pushed me towards live chat, left me waiting around 30 minutes only for the chat to disconnect, and then continued sending template responses that did not address the issue.The account in question was eventually closed with £10 still remaining on it. I supplied government-issued ID. I then had to go through further rounds of emails just to establish what they required to release my own money.Their support team repeatedly failed to distinguish between:- the old closed account,- the newer account,- the original debit card used to deposit,- and the separate withdrawal-method issue.At one point my formal complaint was even dismissed as “not a valid complaint”, despite the issue being about account management and access to funds.Eventually I was told to provide documents so a withdrawal method could be set. I sent the requested documentation and received confirmation that the documents had been received.And then, incredibly, another generic automated email arrived telling me to visit the Help Centre for queries about deposits and withdrawals.That sums up the entire experience.This is not about the £10 anymore. It is about the sheer amount of wasted time, contradictory handling, robotic replies and lack of basic ownership from customer support.For a gambling company handling customers’ money, the standard of support I experienced was embarrassingly poor.If Betway can make returning £10 this difficult, I would have very little confidence in how they would handle a genuinely serious account or payment problem.

Awful! Wouldn’t recommend, no fun involved. There are much better sites out there, going to delete my account. Literally was up by £5 at one point and that’s as far as it goes. Complaints to management are fobbed off. The virtual assistant might be virtual but assistance is stretching it.Do yourself a favour go to another betting app or service because this is not a pleasurable experience. You will just be left angry, frustrated and out of pocket.
