I placed a £5 bet on tennis over night which won £78 and played the other money to £228 and went to bed. When I woke I found my balance had been reduced to £10, I logged out to log back in again and see if it would come back however I couldn't log in again. I contacted Live chat who told me my account had been closed and they could not tell me why, and cut me off because they could not answer my querys So because I won off complimentary spins my account was closed and my winnings gone with no warning or reason.

Betway - Withheld winnings
I signed up to Betway casino with their 100% welcome bonus, depositing £250 and receiving the £250 bonus. I had, previous to depositing, checked out their terms and conditions, to ensure that I would be playing according to their bonus rules. I did note one clause in their terms, specifically: 7. Where a New Customer Offer has been granted to you, once all stipulated wagering requirements have been met, you will be limited to a maximum withdrawal value of 6 times your first deposit amount and any remaining balance will be forfeited. This clause will only be applied at the discretion of Betway management. Note: Progressive Jackpot wins are exempt from this clause. I took this clause to mean that Betway would only limit withdrawal to six times the deposit amount if the management suspected some kind of dubious betting system or false/duplicate account, which would not describe my entertainment activity. After fulfilling the wagering requirements, completely within the guidelines set out in the terms and conditions, my balance was £7707, which as you can imagine, I was ecstatic about. I attempted withdrawal, only to have £1500 enter my account a few days later. I then complained and was told that it was company procedure to limit withdrawal to 6 times deposit when the welcome bonus has been accepted. However, I have now been told several different stories regarding this by different members of the Betway team, insinuating that this is not standard procedure and that prejudice was taken against my account. My main issue with this is the wording of term 7 itself which suggests that the clause will only be applied at the discretion of Betway management. If, as has been suggested my some parties within Betway, that the term is always applied when a bonus is in play, their is no need to include the wording: "This clause will only be applied at the discretion of Betway management." ...as it is clear in the term itself that the clause is referring to a New Customer Offer. Therefore, we can only conclude that I have been misled by Betway staff in alluding to that reason for my winnings being withheld. I can therefore also conclude that I have been given no reason at all as to why my winnings have been withheld. I feel the clause is designed to mislead new customers and give the casino a huge advantage, on top of their usual house edge and wagering requirements, over new customers. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as my next step is Small Claims Court..

Betway - Sports Bet not paid
On Friday 7th of March I placed £1750 on a draw between Norwich and Stoke in the Premier League. The odds 3.3. The result was a draw. So the winnings were 4025. I should have had 7775 returned. However, the stake was returned to my account, and the winnings were confiscated. The reason given was this; 16.3 Termination of Account (vii) If you have played in a professional capacity, or in tandem with other Player(s) as part of a club, group, etc., or placed bets or wagers in a coordinated manner with other Player(s) involving the same (or materially the same) selections. Betway is for sole use on an individual basis and for personal entertainment only. In this instance we further reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to restrict the total maximum pay out for the combined total of any such bets, to the equivalent of the Maximum Payout Limits permitted for a single Customer (as outlined in the Betway Rules); Please be advised that your initial deposits has been returned to you and all remaining funds have been confiscated. Your account will remain locked. Obviously, this is disgraceful behaviour for a sportsbook to carry out. I put a bet on one of the biggest markets in the world, I won, and they will not pay, for no reason whatsoever. I have called them twice, and they cannot give a valid reason. I asked them 3 very valid questions. 1. Why did they let me have the bet in the first place. Sportsbooks are more than capable of imposing max bet limits on the same market. 2. Why did they have the best odds on this result, if they were not willing to take the bet. I bet with them because they had the best odds. 3. There was no bonus involved on this placement AT ALL just me depositing my own money I can answer the last question. It is because they are greedy. They ran with the bet, knowing that they would not pay out regardless of the outcome. I am speechless at their decision as I take it anyone who places any bet at Betway does not get paid, is that their style? And to say I have played in a professional manner is laughable as I simply signed up an account placed a large bet on a result on the premiership and won...simple !!! I hope Betway can resolve this issue asap.

Betway - £9.5k confiscated
Betway aren't paying me my £9,500 balance. So I signed up to Betway casino on the 1st of November. I got their initial sign up bonus of £250 for a £250 deposit. I played Break Da Bank Again with £27 spins first of all and then played lower spins and completed the wagering with £1500 in my account and requested a payout. The next week I logged in again, I was going to reverse my withdrawal but it was no longer in there so I decided to do the next deposit bonus of 25%. I deposited £100 and got a £25 bonus. I done £7 spins on Break Da Bank Again that time and lost. Then I deposited again, £1000 this time for the final sign up bonus of 50% up to £500. This time I done £45 spins on Break Da Bank Again. I was down to my last £15 On BDBA when I got a £9,300 win (missing out on a £93,000 win by one reel position!). I then completed their wagering requirement, never betting more than £45. So I had two pending withdrawals, one of £1500 and one of £7942. They asked for my ID documents, which I sent to them. Then they asked for certified documents, which I also sent straight away as I already had them done a couple of months back. Then they sent me this; Following a review of your account, we have identified that you are in breach of the casino’s standard Terms. Please refer specifically to the following clause: - Before any withdrawals are processed, your play will be reviewed for any irregular playing patterns. In the interests of fair gaming, equal, zero or low margin bets or hedge betting, shall all be considered irregular gaming for bonus play-through requirement purposes. Other examples of irregular game play include but are not limited to, placing single bets equal to or in excess of 30% or more of the value of the bonus credited to their account until such time as the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met. Should the Casino deem that irregular game play has occurred, the Casino reserves the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or confiscate all winnings. Please be advised that your deposit of 1,350.00 and that all winnings gained as a result of said bonus has been confiscated. So I emailed them back explaining that I never broke any of those terms. My bets were miles under the 30% max bet and I hadn't broke any of the other rules. They emailed me an exact copy of the first email so I explained it again. They then sent me this; Thank you for contacting Betway. Please be advised that after reviewing your account, our Operations Department has made the decision that your withdrawals that were made on your account will be confiscated. This decision is an indefinite one at this stage. You are welcome to take this decision further and contest it with eCOGRA, who is aligned to rules of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta, where we hold our gaming licence and they are our industry regulator/auditor (http://www.ecogra.com) We thank you for your understanding in this matter. I noticed on your site there's a case about someone keeping the slot complimentary spins for use when their balance goes down to zero, to avoid the wagering requirements. My balance DID go down to zero when I got complimentary spins, but I couldn't help that as it was my last bet. I didn't 'save' the complimentary spins from a previous bet and I still had to complete the wagering as normal. Maybe Betway have got confused and think I have done that? Also, I just noticed that another casino I won at recently is part of the same casino group. I won £7,500 at Hippodrome Online and they have just paid me out fine. I played the same game Break Da Bank and I am the same person, so I am not sure why they paid that one and not the Betway one. I was going to contact eCogra, but I have heard they are not truly independent, so I thought you would be the best bet. Regards [EDIT]
