Macros— what it means in affiliate marketing
Dynamic placeholders in a tracking URL that the traffic source fills in at click time — placement, device, campaign, click ID.
Macros are how a tracker learns anything about the click without a second request. Each source names them differently, and a mistyped macro quietly delivers a literal string instead of data.
