US online gambling market in numbers
Online casino is legal in seven states. Five publish revenue by month, Delaware — only annual, Rhode Island does not publish at all. We parse monthly reports ourselves and recalculate the page on schedule: each row shows whether the figure was read in the regulator's document or taken from a press release with rounding.
Online casino vs betting
Share is calculated by revenue in the same states and for the same months where the regulator publishes both casino and sports betting. States where only sports betting is legal — New York, Illinois, Ohio and others — are not included in this calculation: they lack the second half.

Year-on-year is taken from the prior-year column in the same report where the regulator prints it: that is their comparison, not ours. Where no such column exists, we calculate it ourselves over twelve months against the previous twelve, and only if both windows are closed completely — other rows show a dash, not a percentage from an incomplete period. The window varies by state: West Virginia Lottery publishes reports with a delay, MGCB keeps one latest release in the feed.
Monthly dynamics
In the row — 3 state (NJ, PA, CT), which have every month of the window closed. The rest are not included in the chart: their reporting appears mid-window, and the series shape would show coverage growth, not market growth. Bar maximum — $822.2m.
Tax rates
Rates are from state laws, they are not parsed from reports. Pennsylvania takes 54% from interactive slots, 16% from tables; New Jersey raised the tax on internet gaming from 15% to 19.75% as of 1 July 2025.
What regulators do not publish
FY2025: $85,491,118 — the lottery's «iGaming, net» accounting line, not GGR · FY2024: $32,669,645 — the comparison column of the same report Space

Where the figures come from
Page is assembled from a snapshot created by the monthly release parsing team: it contains 59 months of history, table shows latest 12 months filed by each state. We do not re-type numbers manually: every figure is the result of reading a PDF, XLSX or state open data, and each row links to that exact document.
Snapshot updated 9 October 2026. Regulators use different terms: 'win' in New Jersey, 'gross revenue' in Pennsylvania, 'adjusted gross receipts' in Michigan and West Virginia — the state row says what exactly is counted. Methodology.
