NeBlask Index — OTSoS
NeBlask Index — a metric based on the concept of Overall Transparency Share of Search (OTSoS) and enhanced by AI algorithms. It analyses search data, transforming it through complex mathematical calculations into an estimate of a country's or specific brand's market volume.
NeBlask Index tracks market dynamics in real time through OTSoS. NeBlask methodology uses cleaned search data, excluding irrelevant queries, and applies AI models for deep analytics of the OTSoS concept.
What we measure
Built on — search share (share of search): brand's share of total branded search volume in the market. Marketing research (Les Binet, James Hankins) shows that share of search is a leading indicator of market share. For iGaming, where operator revenue is closed, search demand is the most honest public proxy of brand strength.
Data sources
- Clickstream (DataForSEO) — total monthly volume of branded search queries by country, with 12-month history. Bypasses Google Keyword Planner restrictions on the gambling category, so it sees real volumes.
- CrUX (Chrome UX Report, Google) — domain traffic rank by real Chrome users in the country. Behavioural signal, independent of search.
Formula and metrics
Share of demand (SoD) = Brand demand / Total market demand × 100%
Demand index (ADI) = 100 × Brand demand / Leader demand
- Demand — send to
- Share of demand (SoD) — what percentage of total market interest goes to the brand.
- Demand index (ADI) — relative brand strength: 100 = market leader. Useful for comparing brands across countries of different scale.
- MoM — growth from the previous month. YoY — growth from the start of the available 12-month history (close to 'year on year').
All brand keys (spelling variants, mirrors, intent clusters — registration, promo, bonus, app) are merged into one profile: brands are compared, not URLs.
Relevance filter
A brand enters a country's index only if it has real local audience: the domain is present in CrUX for that country or its volume ≥ 1% of leader. This way the global long tail does not dilute shares of a specific market.
Trust tiers
Tier shows how much the figures are verified against reality. GGR — gross gaming revenue (operator revenue minus winnings paid to players, before operating expenses and taxes), published by regulators.
Trust Score
Composite trust index 0–100 (formula v1.2), combining 7 categories of public signals. Recalculated weekly.
Grades: A (80+), B (60-79), C (40-59), D (20-39), F (<20). Data sources: public regulator registries, Trustpilot, iTunes Search API, Google Play (ScrapFly), Etherscan, SSL monitoring, Meta Ad Library.
Honest limitations
- This is a modelled estimate of search demand, not financial reporting and unaudited data.
- Figures reflect audience interest in brands, not their revenue.
- Search does not see non-search channels (apps, direct visits, affiliate traffic) and may be inflated during scandals.
- Project in development — country coverage, history depth and calibration are expanding.
