voicestudio-maintainer — Claude Code skill: setup and workflows
Guides maintenance tasks for VoiceStudio by triaging issues, reviewing PRs, diagnosing CI runs, and staging Electron releases. It is not designed for audio synthesis.
npx skills add debpalash/VoiceStudio --skill voicestudio-maintainer -a claude-codeWhat voicestudio-maintainer does
This skill establishes maintenance rules for the debpalash/VoiceStudio codebase. It standardizes how an agent triages incoming bug reports and reviews external pull requests across the Electron desktop app and the Python backend. The instructions focus on repository hygiene. It does not synthesize speech.
The skill enforces repository boundaries alongside development commands driven by Bun. Electron serves as the sole desktop shell; Tauri was removed and must not be restored. High-privilege tasks live in electron/src/main/, keeping the React renderer separated from direct system processes. Backend checks require isolated runs using HF_HUB_OFFLINE=1 and an empty HF_HUB_CACHE directory so that locally cached models cannot mask missing dependencies.
Installing the skill never grants permission to merge pull requests or publish packages automatically. Version changes in package.json and artifact publishing require explicit human direction. This strict boundary protects production builds from unintended side effects.
What it helps with
- triage reported bugs in the VoiceStudio repository
- review external pull requests while preserving contributor commits
- diagnose CI pipeline failures before triggering retries
- rehearse local desktop installer packaging using
bun run dist - run isolated backend tests under
HF_HUB_OFFLINE=1
Example prompts for the agent
- Review the open pull request for the Python backend and inspect CI checks
- Diagnose the failing build in electron-build.yml before rerunning the job
- Test local desktop packaging using bun run dist without bumping versions
