tiktok-launch-video — Claude Code skill: vertical launch videos
Turns a product brief or launch page into a 9:16 TikTok video: hook in the first second, burned-in captions, fast cuts. Publishing to TikTok Ads is optional.
npx skills add cognyai/claude-code-marketing-skills --skill tiktok-launch-video -a claude-codeWhat tiktok-launch-video does
The skill follows TikTok grammar instead of stretching a landscape cut to vertical. It pulls product context from a local file, the Cogny context tree or a launch page, builds a brand kit from colors and fonts, then picks one proven format — POV, build-in-public, contrarian take, before/after, list-tease — and writes a beat sheet timed to the second. Default length is 15 seconds, beats run about 1–2.5 seconds each, and the last beat carries a concrete call to action.
HyperFrames renders the video as programmatic HTML/CSS, so the output is deterministic. Node 22+ and FFmpeg 6+ have to be on the machine; check node --version and ffmpeg -version first, because the build stops without them. No accounts are needed to make the file.
Publishing is a separate, optional step. An in-feed ad goes up through TikTok Ads and needs the MP4 at a public URL no larger than 500 MB. A Spark ad reuses a post the creator already published, keeping its likes and comments. Every publish call asks for confirmation first, and the beat sheet comes back to you for approval before anything renders.
What it helps with
- ship a vertical launch video without an editor
- stop the scroll with a one-second hook
- burn captions into the video
- match the video to brand colors and fonts
- push a finished MP4 live as an in-feed ad
Example prompts for the agent
