sap-fiori-tools — Claude Code skill: Fiori and SAPUI5 in the agent
A skill for building SAP Fiori apps: template generation, Page Editor setup, annotations, ABAP or Cloud Foundry deployment, driven from the agent.
npx skills add secondsky/sap-skills --skill sap-fiori-tools -a claude-codeWhat sap-fiori-tools does
The skill covers SAP Fiori tools extensions for VS Code and SAP Business Application Studio, adapted for an agent workflow. It walks from generating Fiori Elements or Freestyle SAPUI5 scaffolding to Page Editor work: filter fields, tables, Object Page sections, custom columns and actions on OData V4. Annotations and the Service Modeler with its language server get their own section, along with preview against mock or live data, ABAP and Cloud Foundry deployment, adaptation projects and Launchpad setup.
The bundled reference lists six components — Application Wizard, Application Modeler, Guided Development, Service Modeler, Annotations Language Server, Environment Check — plus a floorplan table split by OData V2 and V4 and the layout of a generated project: manifest.json, ui5.yaml, a localService folder for mocks. Features open from the command palette, e.g. Fiori: Open Application Generator.
SAPUI5 1.65 or newer is required, so an older runtime will not build the project. The MCP section on fiori-mcp-server is cut short in the text; expect no detailed walkthrough of AI generation via Project Accelerator or Joule. CAP and ABAP backend work is handed off to companion skills in the same set.
What it helps with
- Scaffold a Fiori Elements app on OData V4
- Configure filter bar and table in a List Report
- Add a custom section or action to an Object Page
- Preview against mock data before wiring the backend
- Set up ABAP or Cloud Foundry deployment
Example prompts for the agent
- Generate a Fiori Elements app with a List Report over an OData V4 service
- Open the Page Map and add a custom column to the List Report table
- Configure Cloud Foundry deployment and run the environment check
