What sap-btp-developer-guide does

This skill guides developers through application architecture on SAP Business Technology Platform. It compares CAP on Node.js or Java against ABAP Cloud with RAP. The assistant outlines data modeling with CDS, deployment to Cloud Foundry or Kyma, and SAP Fiori Elements integration.

When adding artificial intelligence through SAP AI Core, external requests take between 30 and 60 seconds. You must handle them asynchronously using cds.spawn and return an immediate 202 Accepted status. Otherwise, the BTP balancer drops the connection.

Container configurations running @sap-ai-sdk/orchestration on Node.js need at least 512MB of RAM. For vector storage and search, CDS entities should use the Vector(1536) datatype in SAP HANA Cloud.
