What verify does

The verify skill runs pre-commit checks required by the React repository. It first executes yarn prettier to format code, followed by yarn linc to lint modified files. Any failure on these initial steps halts the run immediately.

Next, the skill dispatches subagents to run parallel tasks: type checking via /flow, testing source code with /test, and verifying www with /test www. You can pass a test pattern in arguments to target specific test suites. If every check succeeds, it prints a summary report; if anything fails, it stops and suggests fixes. This workflow relies strictly on Flow and Yarn within the React repository.

What it helps with

  • format code using yarn prettier
  • lint modified files with yarn linc
  • validate types using Flow subagents
  • run core and www test suites with pattern filtering

Example prompts for the agent

  • Run verify before committing my changes
  • Run verify with test pattern Fiber

1. Run `yarn prettier` - format code (stop if fails)
2. Run `yarn linc` - lint changed files (stop if fails)

Then run these with subagents in parallel:
1. Use `/flow` to type check (stop if fails)
