What migrate-birp-to-urp does

The skill structures graphics migration into five distinct phases, moving from project audit to final scene checks. It examines project dependencies and flags unsupported shaders. Custom code containing GrabPass or Surface Shaders is set aside for manual review rather than auto-converted.

Mutation pauses immediately if rollback safety is unconfirmed. The agent requires a clean branch or backup copy before touching graphics configuration files. Once cleared, it assigns URP assets in Quality settings and migrates camera effects into Volume profiles.

What it helps with

  • convert standard materials to URP-compatible shaders
  • replace legacy PPv2 post-processing with URP Volume profiles
  • audit project assets for unsupported GrabPass shaders
  • configure URP pipeline assets across all Quality levels

Example prompts for the agent

  • Inspect this Unity project and plan the migration to URP
  • Convert all supported scene materials to the URP pipeline
  • Migrate legacy camera post-processing to URP Volume profiles
