hyperliquid — Claude Code skill: trade the Hyperliquid DEX
Places perp, spot and RWA orders on Hyperliquid from the agent chat. The agent's EVM wallet signs each order and sends it straight to the L1.
npx skills add Starchild-ai-agent/official-skills --skill hyperliquid -a claude-codeWhat hyperliquid does
This is a script-delivery skill. There are no hl_* agent tools, so asking for hl_order or hl_deposit by name fails with “not found in registry”. The README says that is intentional, and the two working lanes are the way in.
Reads live in exports.py: positions, token balances, PnL over several windows, order book, candles, funding, fills and staking. Most functions take an optional address, so you can pull data for a wallet that is not the agent's own. Writes live in the async HyperliquidClient in client.py: perp and spot orders, stop-loss and take-profit, leverage up to the asset maximum, cancels, spot/perp transfers, and USDC moves over the Arbitrum bridge.
Before the first write you need the wallet policy switched on: load the wallet-policy skill and put forward its standard wildcard policy, which blocks key export and allows *. The WALLET_SERVICE_URL environment variable has to be set as well. Deposits start at 5 USDC; a withdrawal carries a 1 USDC fee and takes about 5 minutes. Skip the policy step and order signing will not go through.
What it helps with
- open a leveraged BTC long or short
- attach a stop-loss and take-profit to a position
- read another wallet's PnL on Hyperliquid
- move USDC between spot and perps
- cancel every open order on one coin
Example prompts for the agent
- Long BTC with 5x leverage for $20
- Set a stop-loss on my BTC position
- Show allTime PnL for

Questions about hyperliquid
How do I install hyperliquid in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add Starchild-ai-agent/official-skills --skill hyperliquid -a claude-code. The skill lands in ~/.claude/skills/hyperliquid/SKILL.md.
What does the hyperliquid skill do?
It lets the agent trade perps, spot tokens and RWA on Hyperliquid: orders, leverage, stops, deposits and withdrawals. Reads work against any address; writes are signed with the EVM wallet.
Why does calling hl_order fail?
The skill registers no hl_* tools. Orders go through HyperliquidClient in client.py, and reads go through functions in exports.py.
