community-publish — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Separates public preview URLs, GitHub open-sourcing, and marketplace listings. Essential when sharing web apps or charging via x402.
npx skills add Starchild-ai-agent/official-skills --skill community-publish -a claude-codeWhat community-publish does
The skill coordinates project deployment and distribution across several platforms. It provisions a public link for a running HTTP service, pushes project source code to a community GitHub repository, and manages listings in the project gallery or service marketplace. Public previews require a persistent HTTP port, so preview generation works only for the service type, rejecting one-shot scripts and scheduled tasks.
Making a project reachable does not automatically list it in the directory. Calling publish_preview merely assigns an address, while open_source only pushes commits. Free listings require an explicit list_in_dashboard action. For paid services backed by x402 in USDC or USDG, the workflow mandates passing a 6-check verification through submit_for_review before you can publish the service live.
Visibility depends on three independent states: link reachability, dashboard gallery placement, and paid marketplace publication. The skill verifies current reachability strictly through fresh calls to get_listing_status or get_review_status, instead of guessing from past operations.
What it helps with
- allocate a public URL for an active web service
- push project source code to community GitHub
- list a free application in the dashboard gallery
- submit a paid x402 service for mandatory review
Example prompts for the agent
- make this dashboard public and give me the URL
- push the project source code to community GitHub
- check the review status for my paid service

Questions about community-publish
How to install community-publish in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add Starchild-ai-agent/official-skills --skill community-publish -a claude-code in your terminal.
What does the community-publish skill do?
It handles public URL generation, GitHub code releases, and dashboard or marketplace listings for free and paid services.
Why does publishing a preview not show up in the marketplace?
Allocating a URL via publish_preview only makes the HTTP route reachable. Showing up in the gallery requires a separate list_in_dashboard call, while monetized entries require create_paid_service and review approval.
