stock-question-refiner — Claude Code skill: turn a ticker into
Turns a stock ticker or company name into a structured 8-phase investment research prompt. Asks about style, horizon and risk first.
npx skills add liangdabiao/Claude-Code-Stock-Deep-Research-Agent --skill stock-question-refiner -a claude-codeWhat stock-question-refiner does
The skill behaves like an interviewer. You name a ticker or a company, and it asks what approach you take (value, growth, turnaround, dividend), how long you plan to hold, how much risk you accept, which areas matter most and how deep to go. No answers, no brief.
The output is a ready research prompt with eight phases, from business foundation and industry analysis to valuation and final synthesis. Format requirements come with it: an executive summary with a signal-light rating, financial tables covering CAGR, ROE and margins, a valuation dashboard with historical multiples and peer comparison, a monitoring checklist, and a bibliography rated A–E. Valuation methods are spelled out too: relative multiples, DCF, sum-of-the-parts, net asset value, reverse DCF.
The skill forbids itself from giving recommendations or price targets. It only rates fundamentals. Keep that in mind if you expected entry signals. Cross-checking profit against cash flow and building a bear case are mandatory steps.
What it helps with
- turn a ticker into a clear research brief
- pin down your investing style before analysis starts
- set a holding horizon and risk tolerance
- pick 2–3 focus areas for a deep dive
- get a checklist for tracking the thesis and exit
Example prompts for the agent
- Research 600519 for me and help shape the brief
- I want to look into AAPL, ask me about my parameters
- Build a research prompt for 00700.HK
