What earnings-call-analysis does

This skill processes earnings call transcripts by ticker to pull financial targets and qualitative remarks. It extracts revenue forecasts and margin projections alongside expected operating expenses. The output maps directly to transcript source pages using the TICKER_Q#YEAR format.

Qualitative findings highlight management initiatives and supply bottlenecks. The agent also crafts targeted follow-up questions to probe unclear metrics or hedge language in the transcript.

Without a working Octagon MCP configuration, this skill cannot access transcript data. It can combine outputs with other Octagon tools such as 10-Q filings and consensus estimates to refine financial models.

What it helps with

  • extract forward financial guidance from transcript text
  • spot supply chain bottlenecks and operational headwinds
  • generate follow-up questions to clarify missing metrics
  • cross-reference transcript commentary against 10-Q filings

Example prompts for the agent

  • Analyze AAPL's latest earnings call transcript and extract key insights about future guidance.
  • Summarize operational challenges and headwinds mentioned in NVDA's earnings call.
  • What are MSFT's investment priorities based on the latest earnings call?
