What commodities-list does

The skill organizes research across energy, metals, and agricultural markets. It maps traded assets like liquefied natural gas or lithium against active market participants. Output tables categorize firms by their activities, separating physical suppliers from financial traders.

Under the hood, the skill routes prompts to the octagon-agent tool inside the octagon-mcp server. This component queries octagon-companies-agent for details. Without a working Octagon MCP integration in your AI agent, this skill cannot retrieve any records.

What it helps with

  • map trading firms operating across energy markets
  • identify dealers in precious and industrial metals
  • survey participants in agricultural commodities
  • find firms that handle hedging and risk management

Example prompts for the agent

  • List all energy commodities and trading companies.
  • What companies trade natural gas?
  • Show agricultural commodities and market participants.
