customer-journey-mapping-workshop — Claude Code skill: map a customer
Runs a journey mapping workshop: asks about a persona and scenario, then lays out phases, emotions, pain points and opportunities.
npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill customer-journey-mapping-workshop -a claude-codeWhat customer-journey-mapping-workshop does
This skill turns a chat with the agent into a facilitated workshop. It asks one question at a time and offers 3–4 numbered options, so you can pick a number or type your own answer. Up to five questions, and each one adapts to what you have already said.
First the agent asks for context: interviews, support tickets, churn reasons, drop-off analytics, personas. Then it pins down the actor and the scenario, walks through journey phases with the actions and emotions inside each, and closes with opportunities for improvement. Pass the persona and scenario in the invocation and those steps get skipped.
The skill leans on the workshop-facilitation protocol from the same repository; without it you lose the step-by-step flow with numbered recommendations. A map is not a substitute for research — feed it real customer data or you get guesses. It also is not a service blueprint or a user story map: the focus stays on what the customer experiences, not on internal operations.
What it helps with
- map a customer journey from first touch to a support request
- spot which stages break down and why users leave
- get a team onto one shared picture of stages and emotions
- decide which problems to tackle first using the opportunities list
- lay out a buyer's path from signup to first value
Example prompts for the agent
- Help me map the customer journey for new user onboarding
- Map the journey for customers at risk of churning
