What crm-icp-analysis does

The skill looks at deals you won and hunts for patterns: industries, company sizes, buyer job titles, deal amounts, sales cycle length, lead sources. Those patterns become the profile of the customer that actually pays.

Call it with an argument. /crm-icp-analysis covers every dimension, while companies, contacts and deals narrow the run to one slice. All CRM access is read-only. HubSpot is the primary path; Pipedrive and Upsales get their own calls, because Pipedrive stores custom deal fields under hash keys and Upsales uses custom.<id>. Lead source is often missing outside HubSpot, and when it is, that dimension is skipped along with its scoring weight.

A Cogny Agent subscription at $9/mo and a CRM wired up through the Cogny MCP gateway are required. Without Cogny the skill halts at step zero and prints setup instructions. Connect more than one CRM and each is analyzed on its own, results side by side — deal amounts are never pooled across currencies.

What it helps with

  • build a customer profile from closed-won deals
  • find which industries and company sizes bring revenue
  • compare buyer job titles across successful deals
  • estimate typical deal size and sales cycle length
  • break lead sources down by won deals

Example prompts for the agent

  • Analyze closed-won deals in HubSpot and build our ideal customer profile
  • Run /crm-icp-analysis companies and show which industries we win most often
  • Go through contacts from closed deals in Pipedrive and name the typical buyer titles
