ae-generate-tracking-code — Claude Code skill: overview & setup
Generates AE event tracking code, LogBus2 configuration, and debug scripts from your tracking plan. Works across client and server stacks.
npx skills add ThinkingAIAgenticEngine/ae-cli --skill ae-generate-tracking-code -a claude-codeWhat ae-generate-tracking-code does
This skill guides you through implementing event tracking for ThinkingEngine / AE. It creates SDK initialization routines, super property helpers, and event calls directly from a tracking plan. For backend reporting, it relies by default on the LoggerConsumer setup coupled with LogBus2 to flush local log files.
Configuration resolves values from .ae-cli/draft.json or through ae-cli commands. Mind the identity settings: project_id differs from APP_ID, and the reporting endpoint SERVER_URL is separate from the dashboard host. Both values must be confirmed before generation proceeds.
Output can be written directly to existing codebase files via insertion mode or saved as snippets under .ae-cli/output/. Each target platform gets its own output mode, whether you target mobile platforms like Android and iOS or backend services in Go, Python, or Java.
What it helps with
- Generate AE tracking code and initialization calls across platforms
- Build daemon.json configuration for LogBus2 log synchronization
- Produce debug and validation scripts to verify analytics events
- Separate tracking output between direct insertion and isolated snippets
Example prompts for the agent
- Generate AE tracking code for our Android and iOS apps from the plan
- Set up server-side reporting with a LogBus2 daemon.json configuration
- Create a debug validation script to test AE event ingestion

Questions about ae-generate-tracking-code
How do I install ae-generate-tracking-code in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add ThinkingAIAgenticEngine/ae-cli --skill ae-generate-tracking-code -a claude-code. This installs the definition to ~/.claude/skills/ae-generate-tracking-code/SKILL.md.
What does ae-generate-tracking-code do?
It interactively turns an analytics tracking plan into concrete SDK calls, LogBus2 daemon configs, and test scripts. You can inject code straight into your files or place snippets into .ae-cli/output/.
What parameters are required before running the skill?
You need APP_ID and SERVER_URL from the AE project settings, alongside .ae-cli/draft.json or project metadata. Because APP_ID and SERVER_URL differ from project identifiers and web hosts, they require explicit verification.
