What ae-system does

The skill unlocks the system domain in ae-cli, meant for users whose Agent role is root or agent_admin. With it you add and disable members, switch roles, create sandboxes in batches, bind users to them, upload shared tools and push those tools to running sandboxes. A separate group of commands covers token usage stats, quotas and limits.

Start with ae-cli auth login --host <host>. A valid CLI-token session is required; sandbox identity headers do not count as authorization. Real IDs for users, sandboxes, models and quota rules come from list commands first — guessing them is off the table. Before every write the skill calls for --dry-run, showing the target and the effect, then explicit confirmation. The --yes flag skips the CLI prompt, but it is not a security boundary.

Authorization lives on the server: /api/admin/** and /api/cli/channel/v1/** are the final boundary. On a 403, retrying login or hunting for another endpoint gets you nowhere, and the skill forbids it. One exception is +npm-install: it installs an exact npm version and packages Linux files, so it runs inside a te-agent sandbox, though the root or agent_admin role is still required. Member deletion via DELETE /api/admin/members?openId=... and /api/internal/sandboxes/** is deliberately left out — other systems own those contracts.

What it helps with

  • add members to Agent and hand them sandboxes in one go
  • switch a non-root member between agent_admin and member
  • create personal sandboxes for a batch of users
  • upload a shared tool and activate it on running sandboxes
  • check token usage and recent conversation count per member

Example prompts for the agent

  • list the Agent members that are currently enabled
  • add these users and create sandboxes for them
  • show token usage stats for this member

What does ae-system do?

It gives the agent ae-cli system commands for AE Agent administration: members, sandboxes, shared tools, quotas, usage stats and channels.

Who can use these commands?

Only users with the root or agent_admin role. The server enforces this and returns 403 for everyone else — bypassing a denial is not allowed.
