ae-generate-tracking-plan — Claude Code skill: build an AE tracking
The skill walks the agent through five phases and produces a real tracking plan in AE, from anchor to xlsx upload.
npx skills add ThinkingAIAgenticEngine/ae-cli --skill ae-generate-tracking-plan -a claude-codeWhat ae-generate-tracking-plan does
Reach for this skill when you ask the agent to draft a tracking plan or an event template. It runs five phases in order: anchor, draft, refine, token, upload. What you get back is a plan created in the AE platform, not a wall of chat text.
Under the hood it drives the ae-cli tracking CLI. The draft comes from ae-cli tracking plan draft, sign-in from ae-cli auth login, upload from ae-cli tracking plan upload, deletion from ae-cli tracking plan delete. Prefix commands with AE_LANG=<user_lang>, and pass --lang <user_lang> on upload so the server parses the xlsx with matching sheet and header language. The working draft lives in draft.json; the finished file is archived into plans/.
Template localization belongs to the CLI through the src/tracking/i18n module, not to the model. Translate imported templates by hand and the labels drift from what the server expects. Conflict detection runs before upload, so type mismatches and duplicate events surface there rather than after the fact.
What it helps with
- draft a tracking plan from an app description
- build an event template for H5, iOS, Android or Unity
- review the draft before pushing it to AE
- upload an xlsx with the right sheet language
- append new events to an existing plan
Example prompts for the agent
- create a tracking plan for our mobile app
- draft a 埋点方案 from this PRD and show me the draft
- upload the tracking plan to AE

Questions about ae-generate-tracking-plan
How do I install ae-generate-tracking-plan in Claude?
Run npx skills add ThinkingAIAgenticEngine/ae-cli --skill ae-generate-tracking-plan -a claude-code. The skill file then lands at ~/.claude/skills/ae-generate-tracking-plan/SKILL.md.
What does ae-generate-tracking-plan do?
It guides the agent through five phases — anchor, draft, refine, token, upload — and creates a real tracking plan in the AE platform.
What breaks an upload?
Conflicts. Validation catches type mismatches and duplicate events before anything is sent. Skipping --lang <user_lang> is the other trap: the server then reads the xlsx with different headers.
