ae-analysis — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install

What ae-analysis does

ae-analysis handles data questions around reports, BI dashboards, metrics, ad-hoc models, alerts, tags, and project configuration. It can inspect asset metadata, explain changes, export evidence, manage governance links, and work with projects and tracking plans.

The skill also covers local input-file uploads and asset relationships such as lineage, impact, and dependencies. Query rows are returned as evidence and do not become a saved audience automatically. Before gateway-backed commands, it maintains .ae/cli-agent-context.json for intent telemetry unless the user explicitly opts out.

Example prompts for the agent

  • Query the retention metric for the latest available period and group the result by project.
