What chronicle-stats does

chronicle-stats gives you a local view of GitHub Copilot token usage. It breaks the data down by day, model, and session, so you can inspect where usage comes from. The plugin also provides tips for using Copilot more economically.

You need the GitHub Copilot app with canvas support and Node 22.13 or newer. The extension uses node:sqlite, so it will not load on older Node versions. Install it with copilot plugin install chronicle-stats@awesome-copilot.

Install this plugin when you want a local breakdown of Copilot token usage. It is a poor fit for a setup without GitHub Copilot or canvas support.
