chat-cards — GitHub Copilot plugin: card decks instead of walls
A GitHub Copilot plugin that renders the agent's answers as a live deck of interactive cards: tabs, tables, SVG charts, forms and collapsible sections.
copilot plugin install chat-cards@awesome-copilotWhat chat-cards does
Instead of a long reply, the agent builds a live card deck in the GitHub Copilot canvas. Cards can hold tab boxes, tables, SVG charts, collapsible sections, numbered outlines, rendered markdown documents and short video clips. That helps when an explanation has many connected pieces.
Forms are two-way: submitting one sends its values back into the conversation as the agent's next prompt. A card can therefore gather context and steer the session, not just present information. Worth knowing if you don't want a form submission to change where the conversation goes.
Install comes from the Awesome Copilot marketplace in a single command. MIT licensed.
What it helps with
- split a long explanation across tabs and sections
- chart metrics with SVG inside the conversation
- collect user input in a form and feed it back to the agent
- collapse secondary details into show/hide blocks
- drop a rendered markdown document into the agent's reply
Example prompts for the agent
- build tabbed cards for the setup steps
- show a library comparison as a table and a chart
- make a form for picking a stack and send the answer back

# Chat Cards Plugin Interactive card deck for GitHub Copilot canvas. Instead of walls of text, the agent explains things visually with a live deck of interactive cards: tab boxes, tables, SVG charts, forms, collapsible sections, numbered outlines, rendered markdown documents, and short video clips. Forms are two-way: submitting one sends the values back to the conversation as the agent's next prompt, so a card can gather context and steer the session as easily as it presents information. ## Installation ```bash copilot plugin install chat-cards@awesome-copilot ``` ## Source This plugin is part of [Awesome Copilot](https://github.com/github/awesome-copilot). ## License MIT
