yuque-mcp — Yuque MCP server for Claude Code: what it does
Lets an AI assistant read and write your Yuque knowledge base — search docs, create pages, edit book tables of contents.
claude mcp add yuque-mcp -e YUQUE_PERSONAL_TOKEN=<YUQUE_PERSONAL_TOKEN> -e YUQUE_GROUP_TOKEN=<YUQUE_GROUP_TOKEN> -e YUQUE_TOKEN=<YUQUE_TOKEN> -- npx -y yuque-mcpWhat yuque-mcp does
The server turns the Yuque API into tools an agent can call. Nineteen of them cover the current user, search, books, docs, tables of contents, notes and boards (mindmaps, flowcharts, diagrams), each tied to a single API route. Search and list calls are paged.
You need a token from Yuque developer settings first. A team token bound to a space also needs that space's host, such as https://your-space.yuque.com, passed as --host — without it the token won't work. The token goes in YUQUE_TOKEN and the host in YUQUE_HOST; older names YUQUE_PERSONAL_TOKEN and YUQUE_BASE_URL still work as fallbacks.
Create and update tools change live content, and the server can do whatever the token allows. Keep it private, and use a space-scoped token when your work stays inside one space. One quirk: yuque_update_doc won't take a markdown body together with title, slug or public changes in the same call, so update metadata in a separate request.
What it helps with
- find everything on canary releases and get a one-page summary
- turn meeting notes into a doc in a chosen book
- add a deployment pipeline diagram to a design doc
- append or move nodes in a book's table of contents
- create and edit notes without opening the browser
Example prompts for the agent
- Search my Yuque for canary release notes and summarize them on one page.
- Move today's meeting notes into a doc in the Tech Research book.
