WTFM — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Drafts end-user documentation from your repository and renders UI screenshots without launching the target application.
claude mcp add wtfm -- npx -y @supportpages.io/wtfmWhat WTFM does
WTFM inspects repository files, extracting button labels, route paths, and user flows directly from source code. It then guides the coding agent to assemble plain-language walk-throughs for non-technical users. Every generated guide arrives as a clean index.md file alongside local PNG captures.
Visual assets do not require a live development server. Instead, an internal headless Chromium instance builds mockups directly from your template files and CSS stylesheets. The tool inspects markdown structure, text phrasing, and rendered images before writing files to disk.
Setup depends on Chromium, which the utility fetches during the initial configuration step. Native execution is limited to macOS and Linux systems; Windows environments require WSL.
What it helps with
- generate illustrated end-user guides straight from template files
- capture UI screenshots without running a local web server
- produce troubleshooting articles for common user account issues
- export self-contained Markdown documentation alongside image assets
Example prompts for the agent
- Write an illustrated walkthrough explaining how to invite a team member.
- Prepare a troubleshooting guide for an expired sign-in link.
- List all existing help guides created for this repository.
