What WinBridgeAgent does

WinBridgeAgent runs locally and exposes Windows capabilities through MCP and HTTP. It can inspect disks and directories, read selected file line ranges, search content, create folders, and move, copy, or delete files. The HTTP interface also handles clipboard text, images, and files.

The server can capture the full screen, a window, or a rectangular region. It reports open windows and running processes, runs system commands, and can change process priority. Power controls cover shutdown, restart, sleep, hibernation, and cancellation of a scheduled action. A tray interface, live request view, audit log, permission guard, and configurable listen address are included.

WinBridgeAgent targets Windows 10/11 on x64, x86, and ARM64. It will not run without a Windows system; the project lists no extra runtime dependencies.

What it helps with

  • read a file and search its contents
  • capture a window or screen region
  • inspect running processes and open windows
  • schedule or cancel a Windows power action
  • copy text or files through the clipboard

Example prompts for the agent

  • Read config.json and find every line that sets a port.
  • Capture the editor window and return the screenshot.
  • List running processes and terminate the one with this name.
