What vortex-iq does

vortex-iq lets an agent query a VortexIQ workspace through a remote MCP server. It can retrieve store audit runs and reports, integration KPIs, active alerts, Brand DNA profiles, Kanban health-fix items, reports, inventory views and deployment history. Ask VIQ conversations and dashboard activity are available too.

The connector uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE. Requests stay within the signed-in user’s organization and permissions, so there is no shared account. Some list responses stop at the first 50 items or about 40k characters; a specific ID is needed to inspect an entry further.

A VortexIQ account is required before connection can finish. The server cannot create, edit, delete, publish or send anything.

What it helps with

  • inspect recent store audits and their findings
  • retrieve KPIs for a chosen integration
  • review active alerts and an incident summary
  • check Brand DNA voice and tone guidance
  • find health-fix items on the Kanban board

Example prompts for the agent

  • List the latest store audits, then show findings for integration <id>.
  • Tell me which KPIs are available and show the 30-day figures for <integration>.
  • Show active alerts and the incident summary for the last 24 hours.

Questions about vortex-iq

How do I install vortex-iq in Claude Code?

Run claude mcp add --transport http vortex-iq https://app.vortexiq.ai/mcp, then complete the VortexIQ OAuth sign-in flow.

What does vortex-iq do?

It gives an MCP client read access to VortexIQ data such as audits, KPIs, alerts, Brand DNA, Kanban items, reports and deployment history. Write, delete and publishing actions are unavailable.

What access limits does vortex-iq have?

Results are scoped to the connected user’s organization and permissions. Some list calls return up to 50 items or about 40k characters, so deeper inspection requires a specific ID.
