Visual Sentinel — Claude Code MCP server: monitoring sites
Run website, DNS, SSL, and speed checks through an AI assistant. Add an API key to manage monitors and inspect incidents.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp-server https://visualsentinel.com/api/mcpWhat Visual Sentinel does
Visual Sentinel gives an AI assistant tools to check website availability, DNS records, TLS certificates, and loading speed. Ready-made prompts guide checks for site health, troubleshooting, and domain launch preparation. The service also monitors visual changes and content updates.
Public checks work without credentials. Account actions, including monitor management, incident history, and alert acknowledgement, require VS_API_KEY; keys are available on Business and Agency plans. Without one, the assistant can still run the public checks, but cannot use account tools.
What it helps with
- inspect DNS records for a domain
- check when a TLS certificate expires
- measure a site's loading speed
- trace a possible website failure
- review incidents and unacknowledged alerts
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the availability, DNS, SSL, and speed of
example.com. - Investigate which layer may be causing trouble on
example.com. - List my monitors that are currently down.
