Remove AI Watermarks — Claude Code MCP server: installation
This MCP server finds and removes visible AI marks, hidden watermarks, and provenance metadata from images and video you own.
claude mcp add remove-ai-watermarks -- uvx remove-ai-watermarksWhat Remove AI Watermarks does
Remove AI Watermarks detects provenance signals and removes visible labels, including vendor text marks. It can also strip C2PA, EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and related AI metadata. Video support includes provenance checks, visible-mark and metadata cleanup, and directory batches.
The server uses the remove-ai-watermarks package through uvx. Available modes include identify, visible, metadata, video identify, video all, and video batch. Hidden image-watermark removal requires CUDA; some video modes recommend a GPU.
Use it only with content you own and for lawful purposes. The project does not target third-party paid-content protection marks, and some jurisdictions restrict AI-label removal or tools that provide it.
What it helps with
- detect provenance signals in an image
- remove a visible AI label from a picture
- strip C2PA and EXIF metadata
- clean visible marks from a video
- process a directory of videos
Example prompts for the agent
- Check
image.pngfor provenance signals and AI metadata. - Remove the visible mark from
image.pngand save the result asclean.png. - Process this video directory and remove visible marks together with metadata.
