TrendFlow — Claude Code MCP server for Google Trends
Hooks your coding agent up to Google Trends: interest over time, regional splits, related queries and what people search right now.
claude mcp add --transport http trendflow https://trendflow.mory.dev/mcpWhat TrendFlow does
TrendFlow is an MCP server that feeds Google Trends data to an AI agent. Ask how interest in a keyword moved over the past year, or what is trending in the US today, and the agent pulls the answer itself instead of you exporting CSVs by hand.
Four kinds of lookups are covered: interest over time, interest by region, related queries (top and rising), and trending searches. Trending has two backends. rpc returns more items and real growth percentages; rss gives you news article links, but Google ignores the window and sort options there. The auto mode tries rpc first and falls back to the feed.
Google rate-limits datacenter and shared IPs hard, so a 429 can hit on your very first request of the day. When the agent runs into that, waiting and retrying is the only move. Node.js 18+ is required — the server relies on the global fetch.
What it helps with
- track how interest in a keyword changed over a year
- compare several keywords inside one region
- find rising related queries for a topic
- see what is trending in a given country right now
- break interest down by country or city
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me interest over time for "Python" and "Rust" in the US over the past year
- What related queries are rising around machine learning in the UK?
- What is trending on Google in the US right now?

Questions about TrendFlow
How do I install TrendFlow in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http trendflow https://trendflow.mory.dev/mcp.
What does TrendFlow do?
It hands an agent Google Trends data: interest over time, regional breakdowns, related queries and current trends. Because it is an MCP server, the agent calls the right lookup on its own.
How do the rpc and rss trending backends differ?
rpc returns more items plus growth percentages, while rss returns news article links. Google ignores the window and sort options on the feed, so it always serves the same entries.
