google-trends-research — Claude Code skill: what it does, install
This skill checks Google Trends momentum, regional interest, and related queries. Use it when search signals need a bounded research pass.
npx skills add PostPlusAI/postplus-skills --skill google-trends-research -a claude-codeWhat google-trends-research does
The skill examines Google Trends around one keyword at a time. It can map interest by region, track changes across a time window, find rising related queries, and build a watchlist. The agent first classifies the request, then runs a focused research pass with a country and timeframe.
Collection goes through google-trends-fast. The result can include the observed signal, geo scope, timeframe, related topics, a provisional implication, and the evidence still needed. Working files may be kept under .postplus/google-trends/. Relative search interest does not prove purchases, conversions, or total market demand.
A sparse result can lead to a bounded refinement of the query, region, or time window. The skill stops when the scope or retry bound is reached. Missing authorization or an unavailable hosted service stops collection, and paid work requires checked credits plus approval for the spend.
What it helps with
- check momentum for a target keyword
- map interest across regions
- discover rising related queries
- build a search-intent watchlist
- separate search signals from demand claims
Example prompts for the agent
- Research the trend for a food-delivery keyword, set the country and time range, and collect the result with
google-trends-fast. - Run separate bounded checks for the same topic across regions, then report the strongest rising related queries.
- Run
postplus doctor --skill google-trends-research, then investigate one keyword with its country and time window.
