token-tool — Claude Code MCP server: ERC-20 tools and setup
Use an AI agent to deploy and manage ERC-20 tokens across supported networks. The server also estimates deployment costs and handles token controls such as pausing and address lists.
claude mcp add token-tool -e BITBOND_PRIVATE_KEY=<BITBOND_PRIVATE_KEY> -- npx -y token-tool-mcpWhat token-tool does
The server routes an agent’s request through the Bitbond TokenTool API to a smart contract factory on the chosen network. Its 17 tools cover token deployment, cost estimates, contract status, minting and burning. The agent can also inspect the deployer wallet and view tokens recorded in the local registry.
Optional controls include pausing transfers, managing allowlists and blocklists, and attaching a document URI to a contract. Supported networks include Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Solana and others. Set BITBOND_PRIVATE_KEY for transaction signing; the key is read locally, while deployment transactions go to the selected chain. These token controls do not, by themselves, make an offering compliant.
What it helps with
- deploy an ERC-20 with a chosen name and supply
- estimate deployment costs on a target network
- add wallet addresses to a token allowlist
- pause transfers and resume them later
- inspect contract state and deployed tokens
Example prompts for the agent
- Deploy an ERC-20 named Green Bond with the requested supply on Base and enable an allowlist.
- Compare the deployment cost on Arbitrum and Base.
- Pause transfers for contract
