TestChimp — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
TestChimp connects an AI agent to its QA platform, with MCP tools for requirement coverage, test runs, and release work.
claude mcp add --transport http qa https://mcp.testchimp.io/mcpWhat TestChimp does
The server lets an agent call TestChimp features through MCP. It can retrieve requirement coverage, create user stories, manage screen states, and inspect performance runs. Other available CLI operations cover issues, releases, meetings, and meeting transcripts.
Connect over HTTP or run the server with npx -y @testchimp/cli. Authentication requires TESTCHIMP_API_KEY or TESTCHIMP_OAUTH_TOKEN; for a stdio setup, pass the relevant credentials in the server environment. API calls will fail without either credential. Claude Code's HTTP setup uses https://mcp.testchimp.io/mcp.
What it helps with
- check requirement coverage for a project
- draft a user story for a feature
- compare a performance run against its baseline
- find meetings by date or domain
- update release details
Example prompts for the agent
- Check requirement coverage for branch
