sportsdata-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: use and install
Gives an agent live sports data and bookmaker price comparisons. Use it for fixtures, league stats, betting markets, and odds checks.
claude mcp add sportsdata-mcp -- uvx sportsdata-mcpWhat sportsdata-mcp does
sportsdata-mcp exposes sports APIs, bookmaker prices, league feeds, and prediction-market data to an agent. Its catalogue has 801 tools from 63 providers, with 43 available without a key. The server can compare prices for the same market across bookmakers instead of returning a single score feed.
Tools are arranged in groups, while capability tags let the model find providers that answer the same request. Use sportsdata-mcp list-groups to inspect the enabled catalogue and sportsdata-mcp coverage to test providers from the current machine. New integrations are described with YAML files under src/sportsdata_mcp/specs/.
The catalogue also includes bet-placement tools for Sportsbet, TAB, Unibet, and Ladbrokes/Neds. They use credentials from your account and run when the connected agent calls them. Australian bookmakers block traffic from outside Australia, so their odds depend on where the server runs.
What it helps with
- compare prices for one match across bookmakers
- pull a team’s fixtures, table, and recent results
- spot disagreement between bookmaker and prediction-market prices
- check which sports providers answer from the current location
Example prompts for the agent
- Compare tonight’s NRL prices across every bookmaker you can reach.
- Show the league table and five latest results for Hawthorn.
- Run
sportsdata-mcp coverageand report which providers answer from this machine.
