What sports-hub does

This server bundles 410 tools spanning 70+ sports disciplines, including esports and motorsport. It communicates with AI clients over stdio transport.

Running the package requires Node.js 18+. Nineteen data sources, including ESPN, NHL, and OpenF1, operate immediately without accounts or secret tokens. Setting the SPORTS_HUB_PROVIDERS=free environment variable restricts tool registration strictly to these keyless endpoints.

The remaining 23 providers need developer keys from free tier registrations. Missing credentials will not crash server startup; the system returns an error message only when you trigger an unauthenticated tool.

What it helps with

  • Fetch live match scores and schedules across leagues
  • Retrieve Formula 1 race history and telemetry metrics
  • Query player stats and puzzles from Lichess or Chess.com
  • Track competitive esports fixtures through PandaScore

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show recent NHL game scores and team standings
  • Get telemetry data for the latest Formula 1 Grand Prix
  • Look up a player rating and recent games on Lichess
